GolfNSW Medal Playoff
It was good to see all three of our medal winners participating in the playoff again this year. The Coraki course was in excellent condition last Friday and the weather was perfect. Congratulations to Sue who won Div 2 with 71 nett, Marylou (75 nett, one shot behind the Div 1 winner), and Sandy (82 nett). Sue will play in the final on Dec 12th – this year it will be played at Horizons Resort, near Port Stephens – click here to have a look at the course. Thank you to all three players for being such great ambassadors for our club.
What unpleasant weather for the first round! Congratulations to all the hardy souls who braved it, and well done to Chris (38pts) and Toni (37pts). Hopefully the weather will be better next week.
Free coffee next Tuesday, from 8am!
The club is thinking of installing a Grinders coffee machine in the Halfway House, so a rep will be at the club next Tuesday, from 8am, offering free coffee. Could you please let someone know (the committee at presentation, or the office if you’re leaving early) what you think of the coffee, and whether you would buy it at the HWH.

What welcome rain! A pity it had to be on Tuesday, but it’s much needed.
Keno 4BBB Regional Playoff
Held at Byron Bay last Friday. Congratulations to the winners Liz Parks and Gaye O’Donnell who will follow in the footsteps of Marylou and Kimberley and represent WGNR at Bonville in late November. This is the first year WGNR have been entitled to two teams in the State final as our district was one of the six districts that had the most number of entries in the competition. So Liz and Gaye will be joined at Bonville by the second placed pair, from Yamba. Click here for full results from the regional playoff.
Pro-Am next Tuesday 10th Sep
There is no separate ladies competition, but there are still some spaces left if you would like a game. Shotgun starts at 7am and 12.30pm. If you’re playing in the early field, keep an eye out for professional Jessica Cowie (nee Dengate), a former Ocean Shores member, and our 2011 Club Champion.
