Captain v President
Although some of the Captain’s team had the best scores of the day, it was the President’s team that triumphed, winning 14/7. Best dressed (chosen by the opposing team captains) were Margaret Byron (VERY pink) and Kathy Lane (for her purple shoes). Apologies from Di for her absence, she will no doubt be pleased with the result.

Breast Cancer Day – the committee will make a donation on behalf of members.
OSLAC – come and have pizza (or whatever you like) on the Monday night, and socialise with the visitors.
Mullum – OS visits – the players who went to Mllum last Saturday enjoyed great hospitality. Please make the Mullum players welcome at OS this Saturday.
Slow Play – Claudette gently reminded everyone to be aware of this, and to do your best to keep up with the group in front.
Pro-Am Tue 28th Aug – entries are now open in the computer. There are plenty of places available in the 7am start if you’d like to play.

When Di phoned Parkwood to make the booking, the prices had gone up! So Surfers Paradise has been booked instead – golf & lunch $37 for walkers, $55 with a cart. Date still Monday 12th Nov, list for names will go up closer to the time.

WGNR Tournament at Casino – congratulations to Sylvia Staff and her partner Janet (from Casino) who were the nett foursomes winners. Everyone else who attended had a great time, and brought home a couple of balls and a NTP.
Championship nomination sheets for the first 3 rounds are now on the noticeboard. If you are playing in all rounds of the championship, please put your name at the top. If only playing some rounds, there is space at the bottom of the sheet for your name.

Day trip to Parkwood
This will be Monday 12th November – $55 for golf with a cart and hamburger lunch (less if you want to walk). A nomination sheet will be on the noticeboard closer to the time (after the rush of championships and OSLAC). Have a look at the Parkwood course here.

Kooralbyn Trip – Wed 10th Oct to Fri 12th Oct – 2 nights accommodation, 2 breakfasts, 2 rounds of golf included in the price. The booking is being made now, so that we get the dates we want. But it’s not too late to join the group – please see Lyn Murray for more information, or to have your name added.
Water cooler at Halfway House – Cherie (and other members present) thanked the ladies committee for sharing the cost of this with the men. It will be a great asset with the warmer weather approaching.
